How would you use blogs, wikis or RSS feeds in your professional or personal life?
- They are all great tools and maybe I can get the rest of the teachers to use them.
- I will blogs in my CTE classroom. Wikis would be great for family trips. I'll try to get the family connected!
The wiki will be a perfect way to meet one of my objectives (starting a website for the library). The blogs
for journal writing in a literacy block class.
It would be an easy way to get lots of information from many people listed quickly.
I will teach with wikis in my multimedia class, and have students create their own, also faculty page for Christmas party!
What additional help (aside from the blessing of time) might you need to use blogs, wikis or RSS feeds?
- More time to actually practice. I don't know who you guys have time to do all this!
- I just need time to "play around" and see everything that's available and how I can incorporate it.
- I think the entire staff would benfit from these inventions. The additional help that I would need is to get the few teachers in my building that are Tech savvy and enroll them in the cause.
- More ideas from websites, but will research!
Erin Daly is getting married very soon and is soliciting constructive advice from married folks (or those in long-term commited relationships). What wisdom do you have for her?
- Keep your own checking account.
- I don't agree with the above comment. Either you are together in everything or not! Be kind to each other every day!
Mom said, "your husband may want it more than you, but it's easy to make him happy - just do it" - been married 38 years
After 34 years, negotiate, negotiate, negotiate!
Erin,
Someone said marriage is one long conversation. It’s really true. Keep the lines of communication open, even when you feel like moving to Florida and never speaking to him again. It’s easy to get in a habit of shutting down. Care for your relationship like the precious work of art it is! A more fun piece is try and get out at least once a week and make it a real date, where you both fix yourself up. It helps you remember the man you fell in love with. Beth Kenny
Erin,
Get yourself a good set of earplugs. He may not snore now but it might come up someday. Things change. You have to have the earplugs so you don't end up sleeping in the other room! Susan
